As we began our Stewardship Campaign with a spirited offertory procession up to the “crown” at the head of the aisle on African Fellowship Sunday, today we’ll close our campaign with that same lively procession of thanksgiving and generosity. But we ask that in addition to whatever you may be placing in the offering plate for today, that you add your pledge card as your commitment to help sustain the fabric of our common life for the year 2018. Children are also invited to bring up their boxes of Band-Aids® for the Courage for Cassidy’s project at this time.
If you have already sent in your pledge, there are cards available at the back of the church saying “I Already Pledged” Please put your name on one and drop that in you’re the offering plate. Thank you so much for your early response!
If you’re new to St. James and would like to talk to someone about pledging or making a one-time a contribution of record, someone from our Stewardship Committee would be happy to meet with you. Speak to one of the clergy after the service to make arrangement.
Do make sure we have your contact information so that we can send you a thank you–all gifts are tax deductible—and so that we can keep you informed via email of our services and events!
And then whether you have pledged or not, join us for lunch in the Parish hall in celebration!
“Enter all of you, therefore, into the joy of our Lord, and whether first or last, receive your reward. O rich and poor, one with another, dance for joy! …The table is rich-laden; feast royally all of you! …Let all partake of the Feast of Faith.” John Chrysostom, Bishop of Constantinople (407)
