Priestly and Pastoral Care During Our Transition
Dear Friends in Faith,
As you likely know, we will on Sunday, April 8 be celebrating Bishop Catherine’s ministry among us at a lunch following the 10:30 service: please come, give her a warm send-off, and wish her a wonderful new phase in her ministry and life!
Between Bishop Catherine’s departure and the arrival of our new Rector, we will be well-cared for. With our deep gratitude, Mtr. Jenifer Chatfield has agreed to be with us during this period, continuing her ministry among us as Interim Rector.
During this time, we look forward to drawing as well on the occasional presence of other priests who are either part of our parish or the Diocese: we are surrounded by friends. Because the parish will have only one full-time (Mtr. Jenifer) and one part-time priest (Fr. John Kim) we may be calling more often on our wonderful cadre of Lay Eucharistic Visitors and other volunteers for some pastoral services and other needs. However, because no one can be in two places at the same time, we ask you to be patient should the occasion arise when calls or messages are not immediately returned: as usual, emergencies will take priority over more routine requests. We are a family that takes care of each other so please don’t hesitate to let us know about your needs during this time of transition; and let one of your wardens know if you have questions or concerns.
Yours in faith,
Stephen Yeazell, Senior Warden
Emily Abbott, Junior Warden
