MEET AND GREET!
We are delighted to introduce three St. James’ parishioners as our new ministers in Children and Youth Formation! Adaora and Tori will be looking at ways to develop a Youth Group that will build community with our teens and Brynna will be teaching Sunday School as she continues her studies in Childhood Education. We are blessed and full of gratitude!
I am always looking for ways to explore my faith and its impact on society.
When the opportunity arose to work with young people in the church, it seemed like an ideal way to work through ideas and have important conversations with their fresh perspectives. As a filmmaker, and hence also a storyteller, I think so much of humanity can be transformed by making words into flesh. And I look forward to our discussions turning into real life actions that benefit our community and wider world.
I am from a small town outside of San Antonio, Texas. I graduated from St. Edward’s University, and just moved out here to pursue a career in acting. I offered to volunteer for the youth ministry because I absolutely adore kids − I think that this time in their lives is so crucial and fundamental, and that putting the love of God in the center of their minds and hearts is incredibly important. I am so happy to be at St. James’ helping as much as I can!
I’ve been a member of this church my whole life and volunteering has been something my family always tries to partake in. Helping Sunday school has been something I’ve always wanted to do because it combines my love for children with my faith.
