So many of us remember Easter egg hunts as children. Darting this way and that, our baskets tipping dangerously as we search. Worrying the bigger kids will find all the eggs.
This Easter Sunday, we’ll have plenty of eggs hidden away in the courtyard after the 10:30 AM service, and baskets for our children. The eggs – filled with toys not candy.
As we step out of the way of our thundering herd of young people on the hunt, let’s rejoice in their excitement. If we humans can feel such excitement searching for tiny treats, imagine the gift we receive on Easter morning. Jesus loved us so much, and loves us so much STILL, he came back.
Alleluia, Christ is risen! The Lord is risen indeed. Alleluia!
Easter blessings, everyone!
