There are two very special events coming up in our church life this month. The first is a joint Epiphany service with the congregation of St. John’s Cathedral, with its Dean, the Very Rev. Mark Kowalewski as the preacher, this Wednesday, January 8th at 7pm. We will have Holy Eucharist and members of the Choir of St. James will lead musical worship. Afterwards, we will have a wonderful dinner of pasta and salad.
For those of you who are able, please bring something for dessert! We plan to serve 40-50 people.
Then on Sunday, January 12th, we have a huge day planned! Our very own Deacon, the Rev. Jonathan Feuss will be fully ordained as a priest and will be our Celebrant for the first time! We love Fr. Jon and we want to celebrate his happy occasion with a potluck lunch! Because of all the wonderful events happening at the church, we’ll have our potluck across the parking lot in St. James’ School Hall. We’ll provide the cake and drinks but we ask that everyone bring a dish using the following guide:
Last name beginning with the initial A–L: side dishes and salads
Last name beginning with the initial M–Z: entrees
We hope to have a big crowd so we need everyone to participate.
