I am thinking of you in this strange and worrisome time. Within the last twenty-four hours, we have learned new information regarding the spread of COVID-19 within our country, and particularly within our diocese. Earlier today, both the governor and the mayor urged community leaders to limit large gatherings of people when possible, and on a conference call with other religious leaders throughout the county, Dr. Barbara Ferrer, the Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, was quick to note that this means churches too.
After prayerful consideration, and please know just how much this decision weighs on my heart, we will be suspending in-person services temporarily here at St. James’. On a brighter note, we will be live-streaming services to you this Sunday at 10:30 AM (English) and 12:15 PM (Korean) (they will also be available for watching later as well at your convenience).
I know that some of you will be disappointed, but the most important thing is to keep everyone safe.
If you need help in any way, please know that I am here for you. Feel free to call the office (213-388-3417) or e-mail me (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Be sure to lookout for more information regarding our new streaming services, and click here for a page we will be keeping up to date with important announcements and event changes.
Peace and blessings,
