Saint James' Episcopal School (K-6)

“St. James Episcopal School is a diverse, joyful and inclusive community of learners. With a focus on academic excellence and attention to the needs of each child, we strive to instill in our students intellectual curiosity, compassion for others and respect for all God’s creation.”   A ministry of Saint James' Church, opened in 1968, the school is located adjacent to the Church. It serves students of varying economic, ethnic, racial and social backgrounds by providing a challenging academic program from Kindergarten through to Grade Six. The school has nurtured its socioeconomic diversity by keeping tuition lower than other similar schools and maintaining a strong financial aid program. Saint James' School graduates have a long time history of gaining admission to the best secondary schools in Los Angeles. The school affirms the basic purpose of an Episcopal day school, as stated by The National Association of Episcopal Schools: To help each child understand that the knowledge and service of God lie at the heart of wisdom and to make faith in God the unifying force which relates each student and teacher to the church, the home, and the world. https://www.sjsla.org
